The 'Osteoarthritis of the Knee' Education/Self Management Program

Arthritis WA has designed and trialled a self-management program specifically for people with osteoarthritis of the knee (OAK). This program has been running for a number of years with excellent results and is now available as a service program.
Bodyfit NT is the accredited facilitator of the OAK program in the Northern Territory and will be running a number of courses in 2009.

What Does the Program Involve?

The program consists of 6 x 2.5 hour education sessions over 6 weeks. See Flyer for more details of Course 1. We will cover a lot of information each week that is not repeated. It is in your best interest to attend all 6 sessions of the program.

Participants who wish to be involved in the program need to be 18 years or older, speak and understand English and have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in one or both knees by a medical practitioner.
