Bodyfit NT deliver specialist Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, early development and training services to remote communities across the Northern Territory.
We are a team committed to bringing the care that is needed for people living with, or recovering from chronic conditions and injuries in any community we visit. We are passionate about improving quality of care as well as promoting community wide health initiatives to empower people of all ages.
But in some cases, our mobility therapy, rehabilitation and education sessions can only go so far. With cases such as Diabetes and the devastating impacts of events such as Heart Attacks and Strokes, good quality footwear is needed to continue recovery.
THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP
Do you have unwanted runners, joggers, sandshoes or similar in GOOD CLEAN CONDITION?
Bodyfit NT is collecting donated runners to deliver to people receiving therapy for chronic conditions, as well as community wide initiatives for people who in most cases are unable to access appropriate footwear.
So far we’ve received amazing donations from schools and communities across Australia. These shoes have gone on to help individuals and remote initiatives including:
- The YMCA Healthy Hour Sister Power youth project in Katherine, Northern Territory
- The Walking School Bus in Ramingining, Northern Territory
- Individuals from all across the Northern Territory with chronic conditions and mobility limitations
Want to get involved?
Bodyfit NT has an on-going collection box, open to shoes in good clean condition of all sizes available at the Bayview clinic:
16/59 Bayview Boulevard, Bayview, Northern Territory 0820
Help us make a quality difference to the health of all Territorians.
