Remote Physiotherapist

We are looking for a Physiotherapist to join our Remote Services team, working a varied caseload of clinic services, home visits, private Aged Care visits and functional physiotherapy in remote Northern Territory communities.

About Us:

Bodyfit NT is a Darwin owned and operated company established in 2006. As the winner of the National Exercise Physiology Practice of the year in 2010 and 2011, we are a close knit team with a high standard of customer care. With urban clinics based in Darwin and Palmerston delivering services such as Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Athlete Development and Occupational Heath, our health specialists also provide FIFO care services to over 25 remote NT communities.

About The Role: 
The position is a combination of FIFO trips (2-3days / week) and clinic work in Darwin. To be successful in this role, you must be highly motivated, passionate about what you do and willing to go the extra mile. Our clientele are from all walks of life, so you will require a demonstrated sound knowledge base and brilliant communication skills.

The role on offer gives you the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful country in remote NT while delivering Physiotherapy services in a very unique setting. You will work as a part of an expanding remote team to primarily provide chronic disease treatment, MSK, Cardiac and Chest Physiotherapy to ATSI populations in aiming to facilitate positive lifestyle change and improve health outcomes.

This position is full time and does include flexible working hours. (A part time option for the remote component is available if preferred by the candidate).

The successful applicant will have the following essential and desirable criteria:

• Bachelor Degree or Masters in Physiotherapy
• Accomplished written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• Demonstrated personable skills and ability to develop long lasting working relationships with current and future clients
• Demonstrated ability working in a team environment
• Active Membership with AHPRA
• Current Senior First Aid
• Ochre Card (working with children clearance) or ability to obtain one
• Current drivers licence
• Professional indemnity
• Paediatric Physiotherapy experience preferred

Desirable Criteria:
• Post-Graduate Qualifications in relevant field
• Proactive in developing and implementing initiatives


The salaries is well above award and include travel allowance provisions for remote travel Health and Support Services Award Rate and is dependent on qualifications and experience.
